ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) Program
Following a thorough assessment and evaluation, our board certified professionals will devise and implement an individualized Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) for your child. Early intervention goals typically focus on teaching a child how to learn, while more advanced skills relate to community functioning and academic success. Please see below for additional information regarding some of the behaviors that are typically targeted for either acquisition or reduction in children diagnosed with autism. Behavior Therapy Program
This program is similar to our ABA service. However, a formal assessment is not necessary to gain access to THIS service for your child. This is a self-pay option, you can pay for what ever services you choose. #America #Freedom The main difference is that we do not work in this service formally with or under our credentials. Ethically, that is not allowed as credentials have to be overseen by a professional. We opened up a different program all together for clients waiting to gain access to medical insurance, a child/person independent of a diagnosis, or a child/person waiting for a diagnosis to receive services. Humbly, we are people first in this program and we do not want to deprive any person(s) from getting the services they desire, need, or feel they need while waiting on challenging barriers to get your child the timely and appropriate help they need. We do refer out to other organizations if we can not best meet your needs here.

In this service we will guide you to other practices if we see a challenge that we can not address as a company such as orthopedic needs, feeding specialty, physical therapy, group home, audiology, etc. We also encourage you to see a developmental pediatrician or neuropsychologist if you feel your child may need to be diagnosed in some capacity, and we can help guide you in the right direction. We encourage you to start here, in behavior therapy path and either transition out of out program with new life long skills, transition out with a diagnosis and receive services using your insurance, or combine either service with our wellness |functional medicine| holistic medicine path.

Despite the fact that we are not using ABA credentials for this path, all team members are background checked, fingerprinted, First Aid & CPR certified, insured, and trained.
Our priority at HBC is you and your family - not challenging barriers.

Early Learning Skills
Newly diagnosed children on the Autism spectrum often need to develop early learner skills before they move on to more advanced skills. Early learner skills are those "learning how to learn" skills that will help your child learn efficiently and effectively. Some early learner skills that children on the Autism spectrum often lack include, but are not limited to, making eye contact, imitating simple sounds and actions, following instructions, requesting desired items, pointing, joint attention skills and social referencing. Once these early learner skills are acquired, your child will be well on their way to achieving their full developmental potential.

Why ABA?
If your child has a speech delay, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy can make all the difference
Based on B.F. Skinner's analysis of verbal behavior, our specialized intervention methods are excellent at helping your child gain language and communication skills across the following areas:
-
Mands: requesting attention, desired items & activities
-
Tacts: labeling objects & pictures in the natural environment
-
Intraverbals: answering questions & engaging in social conversation
Community Functioning and Safety
Do you feel trapped in your own home?
Are you worried for your child's safety when out in the community?
If you have to think twice about taking your child to the local grocery store, mall, restaurant, movie theater, church, or any other community establishment, you need may need ABA in your life. Let our proven methods help you and your child get back out into the world again.
Scholastic Support
Classroom Observation
If your child is displaying difficulties in the school environment, one of our certified professionals can observe the existing natural contingencies while collecting objective behavioral data regarding non-compliance, behavioral outbursts, off-task behavior, motivational variables and other difficulties
that serve to impede normative scholastic functioning.
Teacher Consultation & Training
Following a detailed observation, data collection and analyses, our specialists will go over the results gathered with the teacher, aides and other relevant school personnel. We will happily work alongside these professionals to bring about desired behavioral changes and to provide adequate training services for implementing behavioral intervention procedures, when necessary.
Socially Significant Behaviors
What is the Function?
Every behavior serves a function. By conducting a functional analysis, our professionals can help you understand the environmental effects that are reinforcing maladaptive behavior patterns in your child. When you change the environment, you change the behavior. Head banging, tantrums, aggression toward others, property destruction and other behavior problems are then reduced and replaced with more adaptive behaviors that serve the same function...and everybody's happy! A comprehensive list of behaviors that are commonly targeted for reduction has been compiled here: AGGRESSION TOWARD OTHERS, ATTENTION DEFICIT DISORDER / HYPERACTIVITY DISORDER , BEDTIME PROBLEMS, DEFIANT / OPPOSITIONAL BEHAVIOR, FOOD REFUSAL / SELECTIVITY, IMPULSIVE BEHAVIOR,
MOUTHING & PICA, NON-COMPLIANCE, OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE BEHAVIOR, OPERANT VOMITING & RUMINATION, PHOBIAS / AVERSIONS, SELF-INJURIOUS BEHAVIOR, SELF-STIMULATION,
STEREOTYPIC BEHAVIOR, AND TANTRUM BEHAVIOR.

Behavior Management
If it should be determined that your child needs the accommodation of a one-on-one ABA clinician within the classroom setting to help with classroom behavior management and academic functioning, our professionals would be happy to help. Services are available in both public and private school settings.
Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Meetings
Having one of our behavioral professionals attend your child's Individual Education Plan (IEP) meeting can mean the difference between your child having either a productive or unproductive school year. It is of paramount importance that all professionals involved with your child are on the same page, are working toward the same goals, and are implementing the same educational tools, strategies and techniques across environments. Our behavioral specialists can help delineate an effective IEP by contributing information regarding skill mastery levels, the selection of appropriate targets for acquisition, advocating for needed educational supports and services, general placement concerns and parental support.
Parent Training
Parent Training is arguably the most important step in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) intervention for your child will be his or her ability to take the skills they have mastered in a controlled environmental setting and successfully use them in the home, school and general community with his or her immediate family members, teachers, and therapists. In order to achieve this, it will be imperative that all members of the family and educational team are fully informed, involved and committed to the same treatment goals. No matter how many hours of ABA therapy your child receives, it will never equal the amount of hours they spend at home with you or at school with teachers in their everyday natural environment.
Our work means nothing without this final piece to the puzzle: GENERALIZATION Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in essence is an intervention not only for your child, but for your child's entire circle which may include parents, step-parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, and even pets. Our professionals will dedicate time to teaching all parties involved the skills needed to achieve success with your child. The quality of your interactions are guaranteed to improve in no time, Your success is important to us and we will help you achieve it in the many ways described below. With the complete understanding that every family model operates differently, we also ensure to use the words, phrases, and language you would naturally use so we can honor your family style, without judgement.
